127 Days Engaged & Counting: The Wedding Gown Vote!
Angel Sanchez
Like finding your life partner, "you just know" when your wedding gown is the One. You may have to try on a hundred dresses before you find it, but really, you will just know when it's right.
So they say...
I, however, was convinced my personality wouldn't allow me to happen upon the One—that somehow, because I’ve been so at ease leaving everything for you to decide, I’d have a superpower not to care. Turns out I fell in love with the Angel Sanchez dress pictured above, and the Anti-Bridezilla herself is having trouble giving up control.
Aalia Bridal Couture
Why I fell in love, I can’t quite explain. After all, the dress was straight off the runway and didn’t even zip up all the way! But heck, it just felt like me. Even my grandma, the toughest judge of the whole brood, said it oozed my personality.
But you bet you’re still picking the dress! I acknowledge that this process is a self-willed, unique adventure that won’t always be easy. And I’m lucky, because there are three beautiful options for your voting pleasure: the Aalia Bridal Couture gown is ultra-feminine and works well with the French theme; the Angel Sanchez gown woos me with its avant-garde and haute couture flair; and the Ulla-Maija Couture gown feels so luscious I could literally melt.
So, let the voting begin! No matter how it goes, I can't lose.
Lots of love,
Your Anti-Bridezilla for Life,
Allison
Ulla-Maija Couture
P.S.: I'll post the Plan My Wedding KTLA segment soon so you can see the dresses in all their glory!

It's impossible to vote for a dress if we have no idea what the bride to be looks like and what her body type is...

IF I WERE YOUNG AGAIN, WHICH I AM NOT, JUST A HEART TICKING A LITTLE LOUDER THAN USUAL ABOUT THESE LITTLE THINGS, I WOULD WANT TO SEE A BEAUTIFUL SNOW WHITE THREE QUARTER SLEEVE, DEEP U NECKLINE IN THE FRONT WITH RUFFLED STAND-UP COLLAR, WITH A REALLY FITTED PRINCESS WAISTLINE THAT SPUN OUT AT THE FLOOR FROM AN A-LINE FROM THE WAIST. I WOULD WANT SOME ATTENTION TO THE BACK LIKE A LACE INSET THAT RAN THE LENGTH OF THE GOWN, BARING MOST OF THE BACK BENEATH THE LACE. I WOULD WANT A TIARA WITH THIN VEIL, BUT NOT TO COVER THE FACE OR DEEP U NECKLINE. I WOULD REALLY WANT THE FOCAL POINT TO BE THE LACE INSET IN THE BACK TO BARE MOST OF MY BACK BENEATH THE LACE AND THIN VEIL THAT FALLS TO THE BACK BUT NOT THE FRONT. SOUNDS FUNKY, IT PROBABLY WOULD BE, BUT, IT SOUNDS SWEET TO ME. THE TIARA SHOULD DEFINITELY HAVE LOTS OF PEARLS BUT NOTHING SHINY LIKE DIAMONDS TO TAKE AWAY FROM THE GLITTER ON THE FINGERS. I FEEL BRISTOL SHOULD MARRY LEVI AND FORGET ABOUT THE SPANISH SENIORITA WITH CHILD AND NUMEROUS SUITORS. TAKE THE MAN AND RUN. WHAT DO YOU NEED? BOMB BLASTS? I WORE WHITE WITH THE TIARA AND DIAMONDS AND ALL THE FIRST TIME, BUT THE SECOND TIME, A SIMPLE GOLD BAND WAS JUST AS GOOD AND MY TWO YEAR OLD DAUGHTER STANDING BESIDE US MADE THE MEMORIES MATTER ALL THE MORE. HE LATER GAVE ME MY SECOND SET OF DIAMONDS. I LIKE PEARLS, THOUGH.

Angel Sanchez. It's simple, beautiful, elegant, timeless, and you won't look like a walking meringue. You'll also wear the dress, the dress won't wear YOU. You don't want the Bride getting lost in the dress. Just don't make the mistake of over accessorizing.
Oscar Wilde said, "A clavicle bone is a woman's jewelry." Let your own beauty shine through on your wedding, don't get lost in trying too hard.
You'll also still love your wedding photos in 30 years. The other two dresses don't stand a chance of all that. Especially the Aalia.

We'd have to know your body type. The Sanchez dress won't work with a flat chest, the Aalia won't work with a large chest, and neither the Sanchez or Ulla-Majia will work with a large rear.

Okay, never mind, found your photo. Go with the Sanchez. It will hang best on your body type.

What's the point of voting when what you want is always winning? WTF, this is just a total waste of time. Spoiled Brat! Anti-Bridezilla my ass. I'm sure you call all your family and friends for the stuff you want to win.

Wow, as someone who has read this amazing blog from top to bottom, I think that last comment is ridiculous. Keep writing from your heart.

After reading all the comments, the one negative one sounds so green (I don't mean the positive green, but the green with envy kind. It takes a great deal of courage not to abort the comment and I so admire you for not doing so. Of course some friends will vote knowing what would please you most, but in the privacy of the home computer, people will usually be honest.
I think you are doing great, building support and participation from such a widespread diversified audience; they all couldn't be your friends. Keep up the good work. The Sanchez is great.
